On July 10 we start the Summer Tour which will take us up out of Texas through the Mid West to New England. Details on the Tour Page.
Hey Slaid, I would love to see this. Will the show be archived as 2AM in the morning is a little late on a school night. I would be happy to pay if I knew I could get a rerun. Either way, cheers for the music.
Pretty sure it will not be archived. We were aware that the start time would be problematic for folks over the pond, but we were unable to move the timing up due to our travel on Sunday. If this goes well we’ll do another at a better time for our overseas friends.
Hi, heard your music for the first time this weekend. Really glad I did.
For reasons close to my heart the song ‘Lydia’ went very deep within me.
Thanks, Kevin. That song was written by my friend Karen Poston. You can find her here: http://www.facebook.com/karen.poston
Thanks for the heads up – I don’t do ‘Facebook’ so if you’re in touch with Karen please let her know that her song touched a strangers soul today – I’ll have to confess it made me think of my Grandma when I heard it. She was a miners wife and watched him die younger than he should because of his work with a family of seven to raise. I miss her yet.
It’s a beautiful, beautiful song. Finding these little gems reminds me why we need our artists as much as we need our builders and teachers and all the rest.
Funny thing is I went on Youtube on Thursday night to listen to Woody Guthrie, got distracted by Ray Wylie Hubbard who mentioned your name in an intro to a song and mentioned ‘One Good Year’, so off I surf to ‘One Good Year’ and spent the rest of Thursday evening, Friday evening and a good part of my Saturday listening to your stuff – by God I even bought a couple of albums on iTunes!
All the best.
Thanks for getting in touch, Kevin. I will pass along your thoughts to Karen Poston.
Slaid—-It was nice meeting you in Sulphur Springs, and my 6 year old daughter will always remember her first concert with “Slaid and Scrappy.” You guys did a phenomenal job, and I’m thankful that more people in my hometown got to hear some quality music.
Thanks for your support, Ryan. And ‘Hello’ to little Liz.
Had my first opportunity to see you perform this past weekend in Hutchinson, Minnesota….along the Crow River. Thank you for the autograph (for our son Parker), and for a wonderful 60 minutes of beautiful songs and story telling.
Thank you sir.
